Earlier in the match after losing the toss & being asked to bat first PAK scored 240 for 8 in their 50 overs. For PAK, Fakhar Zaman top-scored with 70 runs while for SA, Andile Phehlukwayo & Dwaine Pretorius picked up 2 wickets each. Then chasing a target of 241 runs to win, SA achieved their target for the loss of 3 wickets in 40 overs. For SA, Quinton de Kock top-scored with 83 runs while for PAK, Usman Khan, Shaheen Afridi & Mohammad Amir picked up 1 wicket each. Quinton de Kock was adjudged the man of the match and Imam-ul-Haq was adjudged the man of the series.
